Global citizen with no country on his own... lost in the global village.

I was always so much into globalization and its benefits. I thought - wow this is the first time people have the chance to overcome all kind of stereotypes, make close friends with people from other cultures and races. I said "Great!!" Finally... it was ha high-time, people open their eyes and look beyond their own geographical and cultural boarders.

But, I recently talked with my friends, who as me, not only traveled a lot, but lived for a long time in different countries. And here is what I came up with.

I grew up in Poland, studied in both France and Canada, traveled for a while in Madagascar and Bangladesh.
Poland: post-communist catholic (yet not for a very long) country with a lot of traditions and traditional family values still in people's minde
France: modern laique liberal country with a careerist, money-oriented and individualist life approach
Canada: free totally libeal country with worriesless youth and a "cool-attitude" life approach
